  • What is Van Gogh Alive?

Van Gogh Alive is not an art exhibition in the traditional sense. It is an immersive multimedia art experience combining high definition projections of Van Gogh’s paintings with digital surround sound. Imagery and animations are projected at a scale that offers visitors the ability to see the details of the artist’s work like never before. More than 3,000 images transform each surface. However, there is no physical work by Vincent Van Gogh on display.


  • What is the best way to see the experience?

We encourage you to move around freely to view the experience from different perspectives, always mindful of other visitors in the venue.


  • What is SENSORY4™?

Developed by Grande Experiences, SENSORY4™ is a unique technological system that combines multi-channel motion graphics, cinema quality surround sound and up to forty high-definition projectors to provide one of the most exciting multi-screen environments in the world.


  • Where is the exhibition located?

The Van Gogh Alive exhibition is located at Level 3, Orange Zone, Pavilion Bukit Jalil.


  • What are the opening hours of Van Gogh Alive?

Van Gogh Alive is open seven days a week, from 10am – 10pm (last admission at 9pm).


  • When should I arrive?

You should plan to arrive about 60 minutes prior to the time printed on your ticket. Please arrive within the entry times displayed on your ticket.


  • How much time do I need to see the experience? How long does it run for?

Individual visit times will vary, but most visitors can anticipate spending 60 – 90 minutes. The main feature of the experience lasts approximately 45 minutes.


  • Is it suitable for children?

Yes, there is no minimum age to visit the experience. Children under 6 years old and Babes in arms are admitted FREE of charge, provided they are accompanied by a parent/ guardian. 


  • Can I bring a pram with me for my infant?

No, the venue is not ramp accessible and pram is not allowed.


  • Can I take photos and videos?

Yes, you are more than welcome to take photos and videos inside the experience. Please be considerate of other visitors when taking photos. When posting images and comments on social media, please use the hashtag #vangoghalivemalaysia so more people can see the experience through your eyes. Please be advised that flash photography is not permitted inside the SENSORY4™ gallery.


  • Do I need to purchase a ticket?

Yes, and we strongly recommend you book tickets online in advance of your visit. To ensure a comfortable and safe visit for all visitors, access to the experience is by timed entry. Book tickets here.  For any last minute decisions, we do have a ticketing counter on site and tickets can be booked at the venue on the day (subject to availability).


  • What are the ticket prices?

Prices and session times vary according to time and date. Please refer to https://vangogh.com.my/ website for the official schedule and prices for the date you wish to attend.


  • Are there concessions or group discounts offered?

Special prices for concession and child are available for selected sessions. Concession price are applicable for Senior Citizens above 60 years old, and children aged 6-12 years old. If you wish to organise school groups, please do contact us at +60 12-476 7911 (business hours: 10am-10pm) OR email to info@vangogh.com.my.


  • Can I buy tickets onsite?

Yes, there is a ticketing counter on site. However, advanced booking is recommended as you will have a better chance of securing your preferred time slot.


  • Is my ticket valid for another day?

Tickets are purchased for a specific time slot and will not be valid for entry on another day or time. We cannot guarantee access to the experience outside the hours indicated on your ticket.


  • Are tickets valid for 1 person only?

Yes, tickets only admit 1 person, depending on the ticket category purchased. One ticket cannot be used for multiple persons for entry.


  • If I bought multiple tickets, do I need to redeem them all at one time?

If you bought multiple tickets, there is no need to redeem them all at the same time, but we advise that you redeem your tickets before the exhibition closes on 16th March, 2023.


  • I’m a social media influencer, or blogger, how do I partner with Van Gogh Alive?

  • Can I use cash at the venue?

No, we are a cashless venue.


  • Is the event itself wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the event space is wheelchair accessible.


  • Is Van Gogh Alive safe for people with photosensitive epilepsy?

Van Gogh Alive the Experience does not include smoke, haze or strobe lights. While the projected images and animations within the experience are slow-moving, if you are sensitive to moving light or have been diagnosed with photosensitive epilepsy, please be advised that some moving light may trigger seizures in some people. If you are feeling unwell please let our friendly staff know.
